Slalom 24th & 25th July At Jackfield Rapids

I hope everyone enjoyed the courses put up, and the relaxed morning of practice and the timed runs in the afternoon. The water level dropped maybe 300mm over the weekend which provided some variety for those not used to moving water.

Nice to see the site used again for some slalom with around 50 paddlers over the two days. With the site topography having changed due to groundworks in the gorge the courses should be a lot easier and quicker to erect and better viewing of the course from the river banks.

Thanks to everyone who helped out and to Neil Buckley et al for coaching and timing.

A great weekend. Lets make it happen again soon.

Chris
